Challenges for Mississippi State

The Bulldogs opened the 2020 season by defeating the 2019 National Champions. It’s been rough though since that marquee victory. After gaining over 600 yards offense in the opening victory, State managed just 295 yards total offense in a 24-2 loss at Kentucky on Saturday. The big head-scratcher is how did State hold UK to less than 160 yards total offense but allow 24 points? Turnovers answer the answer to that question. State quarterbacks K.J. Costello and Will Rogers combined to throw six interceptions, one of which was returned for a Wildcat touchdown. State’s challenge is to make their offense more productive and less destructive.
