Challenges for Florida
Michigan’s offense has been one of the nation’s most efficient passing games this fall, listing second in the Big Ten and 18th nationally in pass efficiency (153.72 rating). The Wolverines have completed 64.5 percent of their passes (200-310) for 2,555 yards. Ole Miss transfer Shea Patterson has completed 65.1 percent of his passes (188-of-289) for 2,364 yards and 21 TDs in 12 starts. The team’s top two rushers, the tandem of Karan Higdon and Chris Evans, have combined for 1,581 yards on 298 carries (5.3 avg.) and scored 14 rushing TDs this fall despite both players missing four total games due to injury. Defensively, the Wolverines lead the nation in total defense (262.5 avg.) and list second in pass defense (145.9 avg.). Defensive lineman Chase Winovich leads the team with 14.5 TFLs.
