Challenges for Florida
The challenge for Florida is to launch the Dan Mullen era with a bang. Win and win big. Sure, a lopsided UF win will not matter much with the pundits but a close Gator win or, God forbid, a loss would set off a firestorm. Ideally, Florida gets the lead early and adds to it until the game is out of reach about halfway through the third quarter. Then they get some young players in the game to work on building depth. Despite the level of opposition, this game is an exciting matchup for the Gator Nation. The Florida players’ challenge is to deliver on a big win to get Mullen’s tenure off on a good footing.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 7:30 ET and can be seen on the SEC Network.
