Challenges for Texas A&M
Texas A&M must beware of South Carolina’s outstanding special teams. South Carolina leads the nation in blocked kicks with five. The No. 2 team ranked team in that category has just three. USC is ninth nationally in Kickoff Return Defense (15.22 ypr) and 22nd in Kickoff Returns (23.56 ypr). They are the sixth-best in the nation in punt returns (18.25 ypr). The Aggies can’t allow the Gamecocks to make big plays with special teams that could swing a win away from A&M.
