Texas-Georgia Prediction
Shaka Smart simply isn’t turning the corner at Texas. The Longhorns deliver a strong performance every now and then, but for most of this season, they have been playing ugly games in the 60s, struggling to find a reliable shooting touch. A coach can’t shoot jump shots, but Smart is supposed to be getting elite players to come to Texas, and that hasn’t been the case. Smart could soon experience what his counterpart on Saturday, Tom Crean, has already endured: a downward fall in the coaching pecking order. Crean was at Indiana, but he couldn’t keep IU at the top of the Big Ten, so he got fired and had to accept a lower-tier gig. This is obviously a Sugar Bowl-flavored basketball game. You know Georgia fans will want this one. Will they get it, however? Texas has a lot to lose here. Texas 66, Georgia 65.
