Tennessee-Texas A&M Prediction
Late January is a difficult time of year for the best college basketball teams in the land. Teams which have established themselves in their first 20 games arrive at a point where they inwardly wonder, “Do we HAVE to play this hard every night?” They also realize that they simply aren’t going to play at the same high level every game and must marshal their energies over a longer period of time. Tennessee shouldn’t go all-out against Vanderbilt… but of course, the risk is that the slog of the regular season will catch up with an elite team. It almost caught up with Tennessee, but the Vols escaped Vandy a week and a half ago. They seemed to get the memo against South Carolina, thrashing the Gamecocks and restoring order. Now, the question is: Will the Vols remain dominant? Against A&M, yes: Tennessee 77, A&M 64 (Matt Zemek).
This game tips off at 7:00 PM CT (8:00 PM ET). TV: TBA.
