Kerry Blackshear is the Gators top scorer so far this season averaging 13.9 points per game. He’s also the Gator’s top rebounder (8.2 rpg). The second top points producer is Keyontae Johnson (13.4 ppg). Team statistics wise, Florida doesn’t shine or struggle in any particular statistical category. Florida does struggle in the area of blocks (9th, 3.9 bpg) and assists (13th, 11.5 apg) and steals (11th, 6.1 spg).

Texas A&M (11-11, 5-5 SEC) fell to South Carolina 74-54 on Saturday in Columbia. Guard Quentin Jackson led the Aggies with 16 points. Jermaine Couisnard paced the Gamecocks with 19 points. The Gamecocks win this game inside the arc, making 23 of 59 shots to A&M’s 15 of 55 shots.

Forward Josh Nebo leads the Aggies in scoring (11.4 ppg) and is the co-leading rebounder (6.6 rpg) with Emanual Miller. Six-foot-7 guard Savion Flagg is the team’s second leading scorer (9.6). A&M’s biggest strength is its defense. The Aggies currently limit opponents to just 63.1 points a game. That’s second best in the SEC. Texas A&M is third in the conference in field goal defense (39.3%) and seventh in 3-point defense (30.4%). The Aggies are last in the SEC in scoring offense scoring just 61.2 points a contest. They are 14th in the league in both field goal accuracy (38.3%) and 14th in 3-point accuracy (35.7%). The Aggies rank at or near the bottom of the SEC in most of the other SEC statistical categories.

Florida looked terrible at South Carolina. A&M is similar to South Carolina and has an even better defense. The Aggies are predicted to win this one.
