Challenges for Missouri
Missouri’s had a hard luck season. They started out 3-0 but have never overcame a 43-29 loss to Georgia. That game featured two defensive scores for Georgia that were the difference in the game. Missouri has given both Alabama and Georgia both good fights. The loss to Kentucky was a heart crusher with he ridiculous pass interference call to give the Cats their winning last play. Something finally went Missouri’s way last weekend in Gainesville with the turnovers and special team’s scores.
Challenges for Vanderbilt
Vandy’s had its own meetings with bad luck. Vandy administrators agreed to play Notre Dame with all Irish home officials, on the field and in the booth. Georgia, which beat the Irish in a close game the year before smartly demanded and got SEC officials on the field. Vandy was screwed by the ACC officials who allowed extensive holding on Vandy and late hits on the Commodore quarterback. Vandy still nearly beat ND. Vandy also blew leads at Kentucky and at home against Florida, but those were mostly their own fault.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 11 am CT and can be seen on the SEC Network.
