Three of Vandy's four commits are now from instate private schools.

Other offers were from Purdue, Georgia Tech, Tulane, Memphis and UAB, and some smaller schools.

From the posts (showing all the defensive coaches), it looks as though he was being recruited for defense at Vandy. Remember how I said the other day that the true double-wide run-stopping defensive tackle is the hardest position for schools like Vandy to recruit? This guy is playing at 6-3 320 as a JUNIOR in high school. He fits the profile.

One of the other sites has him listed at 305. Is 320 correct? I hope so.

I read elsewhere he is also a punter and plays baseball, I think coach Lea and staff are using the Corbin model of recruiting competitive athletes with acumen in multiple sports. Welcome aboard!

I believe it was Lou Holtz who once made a comment that he based the opponents competitiveness on the basis of that teams DL.

I think quarterback and defensive line are the two most critical positions for teams. If you lack at either of those you are likely going to struggle.

I love getting Nashville area commits, especially really good ones like this. It helps rebuild the fan base.
