I remember last year or maybe it was the year before last, there was an SEC team that was “on the bubble,” won two games in the SECT including a win over a high-ranked team, and yet they still didn’t make the NCAAT.
Last year, in fact, everyone was saying UT should get a 1 or 2 seed since they won the SECT, but they got a 3 seed behind UK, which was a 2 seed (and I think UT beat them twice last year).
So if the SECT doesn’t matter I don’t feel good about our NCAAT chances.
Does the NCAA committee even pay any attention to the conference tournaments?

It seems very little.
I remember when we won the SECT and were rewarded with a 5 seed.
I don't think yesterday mattered. We were either in or out already.
