Re: MIZZU Thread
Stute is 1 for 9 from 3 in two SEC games and a problem at the foul line. This is our shooter ?

Re: MIZZU Thread
Awful play by Wright at the end and poor coaching at the end too. Team overall played better. Save those timeouts Stack.

I wish I could see this over but whenever something is on CBS I never get to find a replay. I had a conflicting appointment. I only got to see the very end.

Re: MIZZU Thread
Nice showing by our guys, but we missed way too many shots in crunch time. The refs didn't do us any favors either. As usual, there is a massive difference in the number of fouls called between the visitor and home team. And that goal tend no-call may have been the backbreaker.

Stute's free throw shot sucks and he doesn't work for shots ends up jacking crazy shots!!

Re: MIZZU Thread
I blame Stack for dressing nice. If he dressed like a slob, the SEC refs (who ordinarily love Vandy) wouldn't feel so envious of his wardrobe and they would have called that more-than-obvious goaltend that had a big impact on the game instead of ignoring it like three blind mice.

Re: MIZZU Thread
With three refs on the floor and none of them see the painfully obvious (announcers caught it and replay confirmed) then you are left with only two possibilities: incompetence or bias.

Re: MIZZU Thread
It has been incompetence forever in the SEC. we need professional refs everyone is paid full time now including players but not the officials.

Yep. 4-point swing in a 3-point game. I’ll let you do the math.

Re: MIZZU Thread
Great effort by the team in a tough environment. I remember when there used to be a ton of complaining about CKS holding onto timeouts and here we are again. I don't know why a TO wasn't used down 4 with 6.4 left in an inbound that led to a TO. Were we just conceding at that point or was it best to just let the players wing it? Do they not know they can call a TO in that situation or how many TO's the team had left?

Re: MIZZU Thread
The officiating was legit horrible.
The missed goaltending call was the obvious mistake.
31 FTA vs 12 the not so obvious.

Re: MIZZU Thread
I'm really happy with our performance- not perfect, but SO much better than some of the games thus far. Never quit- Shelby, Liam and Ez were spectacular. Pissed about the missed goal tending call and the missed free throws....

Re: MIZZU Thread
I’m inclined to be less pissed about a few missed FT than the fact that MO scored more than double the number of points at the line than VU’s total attempts.Foreverhopeful wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 2:01 pm I'm really happy with our performance- not perfect, but SO much better than some of the games thus far. 31-12 discrepancy in FTA is egregious. Especially when VU had 10 more FGA inside the arc. But SEC refs. What are you gonna do?
