Re: Stadium naming rights sold
The press conference is now posted (it starts about 14:30 in). https://vucommodores.com/firstbankstadium/
Totally unrelated to the topic at hand, has anyone seen SECshorts twitter? It's hilarious. https://twitter.com/SECShorts/status/15 ... Kb3QpocfmA

Re: Stadium naming rights sold
I wonder if they're going to do one of those mixed corporate-traditional things.
"The Dud brought to you by FirstBank"
"FirstBank Field at Dudley Stadium"
Whatever they call it, it's money for the facilities/upgrades etc. so it's all good.

And with no consultation with or deference to local Indian tribes!
How about "Dudley Field and Indian Burial Ground at First Bank Stadium"

I still can’t believe they called a press conference for this. I saw there was a press conference about Vandy United, figured a big facilities announcement was coming, and instead got to hear about some bank. I want my ten minutes back AD Lee!

I’m sure it was part of the deal. FirstBank wants to get as much for their money as possible. I don’t see any reason to complain.oakparkDore wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 3:53 pm I still can’t believe they called a press conference for this. Re: Stadium naming rights sold
This is BIG and deserves a press conference because it means cash to put into facilities. There are times and previous administrations that the very last thing our university would raise money for was athletics. It is something to celebrate not complain about.UltimateVUFan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 7:17 pmI’m sure it was part of the deal. FirstBank wants to get as much for their money as possible. I am in turn subletting the rights to Emma's Flowers and Gifts. It's the superlative florist, don't you know.

I'm glad I didn't purchase a Vanderbilt Stadium 100 Year tshirt that is available online.

Actually that might become collector's item.Georgiadore wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:27 am I'm glad I didn't purchase a Vanderbilt Stadium 100 Year tshirt that is available online.
And we'll always have the Frist Family Gate!
