Re: Happy Thanksgiving!
Thankful for you, Don, and the way you've provided connection to so many loyal Vandy fans over the years, all the way back to Prodigy. Thankful to Karen for putting up with your Vandy obsession.

Re: Nov 17, 2012, 10 years ago, VU 41-UT 18
My son (an only child) and my wife are huge UT fans. (Pray for me!) My son was a UT student at the time. Early in that season, my son said we should all attend the November 17, 2012 game. I was reluctant, probably because of a history of attending UT/Vandy games. Anyway, I got the tickets and we pla...

Re: Anyone see the great show of sportsmanship by the viles?
If you're going to throw in the towel in relation to sportsmanship, why not go for two? Wouldn't 67 to 24 be more impressive? Where do you draw the line? I think taking a knee and ending the game at 59-24 is better for our world, but what do I know. By the way, I would say this of any team, even tho...

Re: Vanderbilt at Columbia, 11-13-22, 1 p.m. (ESPN+)
Nice to see the team pull away in the fourth quarter, in a defensively dominant fashion. Could be, partially, a product of playing nine players, with all logging more than 12 minutes. I know that trend may end as the season progresses, but it has to be a good sign. I know we shouldn't lament what co...

Love this quote from the 2016 article about CSR: "As for branching out, she said she’ll know when the time is right, when the right situation presents itself. But leaving UConn would be tough." Thanks for the link to a great article which ought to excite anyone with Vanderbilt women's bask...

Re: Recruiting
When we talk about recruitment these days, we have to understand it is three-headed: high school players, portal players, and returning members of the current team. Let's hope we have success in all three areas.

"Today was inevitable," said Coach Clark Lea about his Commodores defeating 24th ranked Kentucky on the road in come-from-behind fashion. Grateful this guy has found his way back to Vanderbilt. Wishing this program many more successes under Coach Lea.

No doubt, this year is improvement over last year. That is success. I hope to type that same first sentence on this board at some point during the 2023 season.

Thank you for loving Vanderbilt football, Coach Lea. Thank you for loving Vanderbilt football in good times and in bad times, Coach Lea (and the majority of Vandymaniacs).

Re: MBB vs WBB
I like the college pedigree - playing, coaching, recruiting, mentoring - which CSR brings to Vanderbilt. I like CJS, but his college pedigree is more limited, in my opinion. Bottom line, I hope they both have long and successful careers at Vanderbilt.

Re: AL.com writer suggests Vandy has no business in the SEC
In this world of diversity, the SEC needs Vanderbilt. There are currently 13 (soon to be 15) cookie-cutter schools in the SEC, all which seemingly place athletics above academics. That there is a Vanderbilt in the SEC, a place where academics and athletics are equally rigorous, probably has influenc...

Someone has a plan, is in charge, and seems to be getting support!
Yes, this is a post I shouldn't make. It seems anytime I see signs of progress, we immediately take a turn for the worse. At the same time, I think that Clark Lea and company deserve some credit. It seems obvious to me that CCL has a plan for the long term. He seems to be involving every part of the...
