Re: Billy McCaffrey named to VU Athletics Hall of Fame

The real question is whether he shows up to be honored. He's known to be pretty flaky.

Re: Remarkable--Matt Ryan to make the Lakers' roster

I got to know CBD while he was here. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Whether he is "a good coach" or not is up for debate, I believe. But there is no debate that that one season was one of the most egregious cases of coaching malpractice ever perpetrated on NCAA college basketball...

Re: Stack gets a contract extension

I'm all for it, but I'd like to see Stack out and about more in the community. The tailgate in Vandyville was a start. Would like to see more of that. Speak at more events. Go on the radio more.

Amazing. These pictures look like something out of A Stanley Kubrick film. Dr. Strangelove or something.

Architcetural/engineering achievement of the highest order to get all the balconies in that building.

Love everything about this kid. The IQ, the feel, the skills.

But I hate to say it. Seems to be a half a step slow.

If he’s a winner and a hard worker, then he could be additive. A lot to be said for that. T perhaps, he can get there. Be a Bruce Elder type.

How long until a decision. Surely they can’t give him as much time as last year. They need to build a roster.

It's what you get when the players are loyal to the almighty dollar and literally don't give 2 you know whats about the school or community they are a part of.

Re: Based on my current understanding

Right. Sorry. There was a post from someone saying something like: “is this before or after they entered the portal”. Trying to understand what they meant. Apparently that post is gone now. Or maybe I was hallucinating.

Re: Based on my current understanding

Hoping that Lawerence can spend a lot of time in the shooting lab and with a shooting coach in the off season. Add some consistency to his 3 point shooting. Get him up to 33% from 3, and he will be a force. I think Dorsey will stick. His mom had some tweets that talked about how happy she was to hav...

Re: What are the rules for this year

I think the rules now are: 1. Everyone now gets 1 free transfer where you don’t have to sit a year. If you transfer a second time, you have to sit a year. 2. A buddy of mine who works in sports media said the other day that there is also something that he referred to as “a run off waiver” that you c...

The most critical addition this season...

Lots of talk about the transfer portal and potential player additions - as there should be. But I think the most important addition this season will be Ed Conroy's replacement. Will be interesting to see who Stack gets. I think it's critical that they have a lot of college bball coaching experience....

Re: Ben Howland @ MSU

I understand the reasoning. I do think it is sad. All the lip service the fans and the admins pay to how much the coach cares for the kids and does things the right way. Thinking specifically about Cuonzo and Frank Martin. It really is a load of BS.

Re: This year kind of has the feel of the…

From a 25 year look back: “ After shooting 62 percent in the first half and racing to a 54-36 halftime lead, USM seemingly had Vandy on the ropes. But the Commodores had other ideas and sparked by the play of 7-foot center Will Perdue, battled back to tie the game at 60-60. But Fisher responded by h...

Re: This year kind of has the feel of the…

I missed that UT game. Was on spring break. Really amazing that an NIT game and a bunch of players that the crowd had grown to know and love would generate that much interest. Pretty sure those games were sold out. But can’t remember for certain.
