Re: Disadvantage
In reality, teams can punch through on energy for two games. That's why the double bye is so important. Wednesday teams tend to run out of juice on Friday. Thursday teams on Saturday. Double Bye teams only need grit against an equally tired team on Sunday.

We just beat two tournament-ish teams without Liam. That answers the question.

Re: Stackhouse co-coach of the year
When we were sitting at 3-6, I couldn't imagine this. My frustrations were surrounding roster management, not his coaching, but 'this'. Just wow. He is more the deserving.

Re: A look at Miss State's resume
I think the answer is, it depends. If a mid-major loses all its non-conference, and then storms through the conference and wins their tourney, they're in. If they don't they're not. If they get a few good wins in non-conference, win big in conference and lose the title game, then they should probabl...

Re: Next Year's Roster.
Winning makes it easier for kids to buy in long term. Some of these younger players are gonna improve in the off-season. We'll miss Liam, but we have enough parts to be better next season. That's exciting.

Re: Starting to get noticed...
Look, if we win against MSU and win 2 in the SEC tournament, there's a chance. It would take a committee that was interested in identifying the best teams, not the best seasons. We crapped the bed early. We're 7-1 in the last 8 with wins over Tennessee, Kentucky and Auburn. It comes down to what the...

Re: The way it should be...
I think they need to weigh the last 10 games like they did in the past. You need to be playing good ball down the stretch. If you're not over .500 in the last 10 games, then that should knock out a bubble team unless there's a clear explanation. We just have too many turds on our resume. You can't l...

Re: NIT Finals or NCAA first round loss?
Losing in the first round of the NCAA always cut me deeper than winning a couple of games in the NIT before a lose. NCAA is certainly more exciting, but winning games is a lot of fun. I'd go NIT.

Look. Sometimes the other team plays a special game. It happens. It's not like we were bad offensively. I'm fine with an NIT opportunity, if it comes. Let's enjoy watching these guys play.

Re: And here's your first bracketologist with Vandy in first four out
Hiring a great coach is a very, very difficult thing. Why? There's not many of them. We can finally state we're seeing AUTHENTIC, steady improvement for our program. We're no longer scrubs. And against all odds, Stack is the one we must credit. We have a good coach who is still learning this job. Wh...

Re: Shan Foster's take on the situation via Twitter
Shan Foster @shanfoster_32 Can someone do the research on public scrutiny in coaching? I’d love to see the data aggregated by race. For example, what was the public opinion about Roy Williams vs Hubert Davis during periods with similar records. Asking for a friend. All the love for you, but this is...

Re: How Much Longer
I don't know what is going on - On one hand I think you are correct, but on the other hand his teams play offense as though they were built like some of CKS' least athletic shooting teams. For instance, the 2005 team was the high water mark for CKS in terms of 3pt attempt % at 45% of all shot from ...
