Something doesn’t add up here

Post by Versus75 »

SEC suspends all sports “until March 30.”

NCAA canceled “all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships.”

Unless “championships” includes all competition that could eventually lead to championships, the above two statements do not preclude resuming play in about 3 weeks.

By that time, the health scare might have settled down and SEC sports could go back to a semblance of normalcy. Just no CWS.

At least that’s the sum of those two statements.

I don't know how they would be able to get the players back on campus in the snap of a finger.

Also this didn't figure into the statement, but given the way the curves are playing out in other countries, it's likely we don't peak until May.

The SEC statement came out before the NCAA statement, which supersedes it. This has been a very fluid situation, where things have been changing constantly.
