SEC Women’s basketball season is right around the corner. In this series each SEC team site on 14powers.com will discuss the top returning player for the 2018-19 season. For Vanderbilt that is sophomore Chelsie Hall.
NAME | Chelsie Hall |
YEAR | SO |
HOMETOWN | Boca Raton (Fla.) |
HT | 5-7 |
POSITION | Guard |
PPG | 11.9 |
ASSISTS | 95 |
REBOUNDS | 107 |
During a horrid 2017-18 Vanderbilt season one of the bright spots was freshman guard Chelsie Hall. Hall quickly developed a reputation for her fearless ability to drive to the basket. Hall’s quickness and shooting ability helped vault her to a place on the freshman All-SEC squad. Hall is not a one-dimensional player. She also has the ability to battle for rebounds finishing fourth on the team in that statistical category. Vanderbilt looks to have a better inside presence this season with the addition of 6-foot-5 Boston College transfer Mariella Fasoula becoming eligible. This should open things up inside for Hall to drive inside even more.
