According to 247Sports.com, Fitzgerald had no offers other than Vandy for football but had a basketball offer from East Tennessee State.

Watching Fitzgerald’s highlight video (below) he displays good blocking ability and tenacity. He also appears to have the body frame to be a defensive lineman, which is a position in which the Commodores need big bodies.

The Tennessean, reports that Fitzgerald is actually 6-foot-9 and has only played one year of organized football.

Fitzgerald, who is originally from Nigeria, earned All-Region honors following the 2018 season.

Fitzgerald’s pledge to Vandy brings the number of Commodore commits to 19 for the 2019 football recruiting class.
