“I’ve decided to continue my education and football career at Vanderbilt University,” wrote Mimms in a tweet (below).

Mimms visited Vanderbilt on March 17. He narrowed his list of schools down to Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (Ohio), Washington State and Vandy on June 14. Other schools that offered included Ohio, Illinois State, Western Michigan, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Indiana State and Ball State.

Watching Mimms’ film he looks very fast and has the ability to kick in that extra burst of speed that leaves defenders in his dust.

Mimms is rated 3-stars on both 247sports.com and ESPN and 2-stars by Rivals.com. According to Maxpreps.com, as a junior Mimms ran for 715 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged over 10 yards per carry. Mimms is another solid commit for the 2019 Vanderbilt recruiting class.

Mimms is Vanderbilt’s 12th commit of the 2019 class. Check out the 2019 Vanderbilt Football Commit list.
