Deion Smith has field extending speed with a height and length that make him difficult to defend. Takes big strides and beats most defenders in contests jumping for balls. Can be a reliable target at most P5 schools. Does well making people miss and can take some hits as well. Great after the catch. Comes back and goes up for balls well. At the 5:20 mark in the video below Smith comes back for a poorly thrown pass in traffic and manages to break three tackles for a 30-yard gain. Excellent route runner and does well finding soft spots in coverage.
