Dane Key is a 6-foot-2, 170 pound wide receiver from Lexington, Kentucky. He is a student at Frederick Douglass high school located in Lexington.

Key is rated 4 stars by Rivals.com and 4 stars by 247sports.com. According to Rivals.com, Key committed to the Wildcats and head coach Mark Stoops on October 28, 2021.
