Kahlil Saunders is a 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive lineman from Huntsville, Alabama. Saunders is rated 3 stars by Rivals.com and 4 stars by 247sports.com. According to Rivals.com, Saunders committed to Kentucky on May 1, 2020.

Saunders is considered one of the top 2021 high school football prospects in the state of Alabama. Saunders had 80 tackles, 8 sacks and 17 quarterback hurries as a senior at Grissom high school.

In addition to Kentucky, some of Saunders‘s more notable offers included Kansas, Memphis, Southern Miss, Virginia Tech, Toledo, Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State.

Kahlil Saunders is a large defensive end with a powerful upper body that rips through attempted blockers. He's a sports Illustrated All American candidate with a solid swim move that he uses well against opponents. As shown in the video below at the 01:51 mark, Saunders beats his blocker employing the swim before deflecting a pass in the endzone. He already has the size to come in and start on most division one teams and with room to further develop he could be scary. Consistently pushes blockers back to clog running lanes and often seen beating double teams. Looks to enjoy laying the hit on opposing ball carriers. (DT Yates)
