Harris is considered one of the top 2021 high school football prospects in the state of New York. As a senior Harris' high school, Erasmus Hall, held opponents scoreless in nine of 13 games and went 11-2.
In addition to Texas A&M, some of Harris‘s more notable offers included Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Miami (Fla.), TCU and West Virginia.

Jahzion Harris is one of the top ranked players in the state of New York and top defensive ends in the country. Has room to add a good chunk of weight to his large frame. Good speed off the edge. Read and react skills are solid and takes good angles to the ball carrier. As shown in the video below at the 00:57 mark, Harris reads the option perfectly before blowing the quarterback up for a loss. Large frame and quick to get off the ball and opposing opponents blocks.
