John Howse IV Scouting Report

John Howse IV is a two-sport athlete as a football and track guy in high school. Tallied 60 tackles, nine pass breakups and five tackles for a loss as a junior at Brentwood. Great size for a cornerback at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds means he can compete with taller wide receivers and is a player that won't shy out of a tackle against running backs breaking through the line. In the video below, Howze demonstrates his ability to read a quarterback and break on the ball on back-to-back plays starting at the 0.37 mark. Ideal lateral agility and finishes plays with a fast close. (Steve Wright)
