Devon Williams has exceptional vision and read and react skills. Sheds off blocks with good hands as we see at the 2:03 mark in the video below. Forced a lot of fumbles partly through excellent awareness. Drives through tackles with a strong lower body and is not afraid to lay solid hits. Pursues and changes directions well. Lower body flexibility helps him in pass coverage where he’s also efficient at reading the quarterback. Will want to add some weight for power five conference linebacker though no concerns about his height or length. Recognizes plays well and where he needs to be. Has great closing distance to get there.
