Even as a sophomore Drake Maye displayed a level of accuracy you normally need a few years at the next level to achieve. On multiple occasions he demonstrates a calm demeanor under pressure to scramble and make the completion. At the 2:08 mark in the video below, Maye breaks a pair of tackles then stiff arms a defensive tackle before finding a man open. He reads the field well and makes good decisions to find his receivers. A two-sport athlete who helped lead his team to the state playoffs in basketball. Commanding pocket presence and an escapability that’s reminding of Ben Roethlisberger. Anticipates route runners with elite size.
