SEC Recruiting update

The South Carolina Gamecocks got some added depth in the secondary in the form of local preferred walk cornerback Kamarah Reynolds-Hall.

By DT Yates

He is a 5-10, 170-pound two-star player ranked top 100 in the state. Reynolds-Hall has excellent coverage skills with great vision and reacts for the ball extremely well. A solid tackler and defender in coverage who had multiple scholarship offers but ended with his heart set on South Carolina in the end.

Hall was an honor roll student at Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina and classmate of Gamecock 2020 power forward signee Ja’Von Benson.

On the field Reynolds-Hall appears to have solid skills. At 01:46 into his senior highlights we see Reynolds-Hall appear to know the quarterback was going his way the whole time before nearly effortlessly undercutting the receiver at the last moment to break up the pass.

Reynolds-Hall may be more efficient in zone coverage, but he has displayed the physicality needed for man coverage and mirroring the offenses best receiver as well. He always seems to be aware of the quarterback with flexible hips that allow him to break quicker in coverage. A good amount of confidence with a chip on his shoulders and it shows how he plays. Tackles well. Adding size and continue developing will be a priority before being in the mix at P5 schools.
