Challenges for Auburn
It would be easy to write off this Mississippi State team as a weak opponent. Keep in mind though that over the past few games the Bulldogs seem to have improved. They played Georgia and Ole Miss, two pretty solid good teams, to within a touchdown. A big factor in this improvement has been the play of freshman quarterback Will Rogers who stepped into the starting role against Vanderbilt last month. Rogers has brought more accuracy and fewer interceptions to the Bulldog offense. This success has resonated to the defense as well as creating a dangerous situation for Auburn. Rogers has completed almost 74% of his passes which is a better percentage than Heisman Trophy candidate Kyle Trask (71%). Auburn has to figure out a way to stop Rogers or he’ll pick them apart.
Saturday‘s game kicks off at 6:30 PM CT (7:30 PM ET). You can watch this Auburn football game on the SEC Network.
