Challenges for Georgia

Georgia picked up a big win over Tennessee on Saturday in Knoxville. It will be tougher against Alabama, of course. I mentioned in one of my earlier pieces this season that Georgia players have a history of doing un-smart things in big ball games that cause them to lose. That miracle Auburn pass where the two Georgia players fought to make the interception but knocked it into the hands of the Auburn receiver who scored the winning TD for the Tigers, is an example. There have been others. Well, George Pickens’ personal foul on Jarrett Guarantano on Saturday is another example of what I’m talking about. It didn’t really hurt the Dawgs on Saturday but against Alabama, in a tight, emotional game it could very well cost Georgia the ball game. Georgia has a very good team that has the potential to beat Alabama on Saturday. They don’t need an un-disciplined or selfish player to cost them the game.

Saturday‘s game kicks off at 7:00 PM CT (8:00 PM ET). Watch on the CBS Network.
