Challenges for LSU
LSU is off to a great start with two wins lower-tier opponents and a huge win at Texas. The Tigers can’t afford to overlook Vanderbilt this week. It might be easy to write off the Commodores as an automatic win but that could be dangerous. True the ‘Dores did open with a 30-6 loss to Georgia but Vandy did cause the UGA offense some problems forcing several field goals and holding the Bulldogs to just 1 of 7 on third-down conversions. The following week Vandy traveled to Purdue and shot themselves in the foot with 150 yards of penalties, most called before the snap. Vanderbilt had a bye week last week and likely cleaned a lot of that up.
