Challenges for Mississippi State
State faces Vandy for the first time since a 51-0 win over the Commodores in 2014, Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason’s first year. Vanderbilt has struggled this season. They have a true freshman quarterback, Ken Seals, who recently completed 31 of 40 passes for 319 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception versus Ole Miss. On defense, Vandy likes to leave a big cushion for opposing wide receivers. That’s something every opponent this season has feasted on. This is a good bounce-back game for the Bulldogs. The Mississippi State challenge is to not take Vanderbilt lightly.
