Challenges for Kentucky

The Cats have had a surprisingly difficult season so far. They did absolutely stomp Tennessee and held Mississippi State to two points but we expected better from UK. Last weekend in a very winnable game at Missouri, Kentucky was essentially shut down offensively. They pretty much abandoned the pass attempting just 13 passes and completing just four of those. With such little passing, you’d think Kentucky was running all over the field. No, they ran 23 times for 98 yards. That’s 36 total offensive plays. Just 36! By contrast, Missouri had 83 plays on offense, almost 50 more than the Wildcats. Now they host a very good Georgia team. Kentucky’s challenge is to get the offense back on track or Saturday will be a very ugly day for the Big Blue Nation.

Saturday‘s game kicks off at 11:00 PM CT (12:00 PM ET). Watch on the SEC Network.
