We are down to just four games this week because of this damn pandemic. Maybe this is what I need to get a perfect Saturday with a zero in the loss column.

Week Results: 2-3. A losing week. The Alabama/Georgia game was to me a judgment call, but bother Auburn and Ole Miss were very disappointing in their defeats.
Closest Pick: Kentucky 28, Tennessee 24. Actual was 34-7 to the ‘Cats. I wasn’t within 10 points of either side in a week where getting the winning team was seemingly enough of a challenge.
Season Results: 16-10
Auburn @ Ole Miss – Ole Miss gives up 580 yards per game, the second-worst defensive output in the country behind Memphis. Auburn hasn’t been able to do much on offense this year – they are too reliant on Bo Nix and his 55% completion rating – but this is the game to fix some of those issues. Look for RB Tank Bigsby to continue to be pushed into the offensive game plan and don’t be at all shocked if he goes for over 150 yards on the day here. Auburn 31, Ole Miss 30.
(2) Alabama @ Tennessee – It is hard to see how a Tennessee team with no identity at quarterback right now hangs around a Mac Jones led Alabama team that routinely passes for over 400 yards per game. This one will get ugly quickly. Alabama 45, Tennessee 17.
Kentucky @ Mizzou – Kentucky has given up exactly nine points in the last two games and a couple of those points can via a safety. The defense is playing the football many thought it could when the season started and they are running the ball better than anyone in the conference. They face a Mizzou team led by the surprising redshirt freshman Connor Bazelak who has averaged 11 yards per pass in his last two outings. Look for Kentucky to let QB Terry Wilson loose here as they attack the back end of the Mizzou defense. Kentucky 31, Mizzou 10.
South Carolina @ LSU – We knew LSU was going to struggle after losing so much but the team now has new issues with QB Myles Brennan and his 1,100 yards passing likely out for this one. South Carolina has been opportunistic on defense with seven takeaways over the last three games. This is a team that wants to win the time of possession battle and the Gamecocks should be able to open up this weekend against a Tigers’ defense that gave up almost 600 yards to Missouri. South Carolina 31, LSU 27.
