Arkansas Three Keys: Auburn

Three-keys-Arkansas

The Arkansas Razorbacks visit Auburn on Saturday in Auburn, Ala. Here are your three keys to an Arkansas win over the Tigers.

By Don Yates

1. Keep on winning

Arkansas ended a 20-game conference losing streak with their shocking win at Mississippi State. With the win, Sam Pittman became the first Razorback head coach ever to get his first win over a top 25 team. There’s no better feeling than winning an SEC ball game. The Razorbacks have now got a taste of winning. They have the ability keep a good thing going on Saturday in Auburn.

2. Bumper keeps bumping

Hog linebacker Bumper Pool had more tackles against Mississippi State last week than most defensive players will have in an entire season. His 20 tackle performance is the most tackles by an FBS player in a game this season. This week’s game in Auburn features a much tougher opponent. The Razorbacks need Bumper to keep on bumping opposing ball carriers.

3. Be road warriors

There’s nothing like going on the road with your team and running out of the tunnel into a hostile environment. Before Saturdays win in Starkville, Arkansas hadn’t won a road game since a 38-37 win over Ole Miss in Oxford back in October of 2017. If the Hogs can march out of Jordan-Hare Stadium with a second consecutive SEC road win, it will send shockwaves through the SEC and college football.

Saturday‘s game kicks off at 3:00 PM CT (4:00 PM ET). Watch on the SEC Network.
