Comments

Vanderbilt looked improved in its opener while LSU appears to have regressed but a regressed LSU team could still be better than an improved Vanderbilt team. Vandy’s defense looked stronger and the offense, with a new true freshman quarterback, moved the ball better than most games the Commodores played in last season. LSU probably still wins this game. In last years Vandy-LSU game (also played in Nashville) LSU encompassed probably 75% of the crowd. It’ll be interesting to see if the Commodores perform better without 30,000 screaming opposing fans to deal with. Then again, if Vandy does well or even wins, we’ll never know if it was because of LSU’s regression and Vandy’s improvement or not having to deal with a huge throng of opposing fans.
