The 2019 LSU Tigers football season will go down as one of the greatest football seasons in the school’s history. The key word here though is “history” meaning that season is over and this is a new season. This isn’t going to be the same LSU team. They have very few starters back and gone is superstar quarterback Joe Burrow. The Tigers are going to lose games this season and it is going to be a hard pill to swallow. However, in this first game with Mississippi State and new head coach Mike Leach, I expect the Tigers to pull off a comfortable. State is poised to do great things under Mike Leach but they aren’t there yet. His schemes are pretty complex and it’s going to take Leach some time to get the schemes executed correctly and get the proper talent to run the offense. He’s now in the right area of the country to get players very suitable for his offense. However, there’s going to be some bumps in the road like this Saturday in Baton Rouge. That said, stranger things have happened. This might turn out to be a pretty good ball game but I still think LSU wins by at least a couple touchdowns.
