This Auburn-Kentucky matchup is one of the best games in the country for this Saturday. Why would you televise Alabama and Missouri on ESPN when you have a much better Auburn-Kentucky matchup? The Tigers and Wildcats have been relegated to an SEC Network spot. At least they aren’t on the phantom SEC Alternate Network. I’ve never been able to find that one.

Most prognosticators do not give Kentucky a snowball’s chance in this game but look for the Wildcats to play at least a close game. UK has a ton of players back on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile Auburn has just 10 of 22 position players returning. The Kentucky players love Mark Stoops and would run through hell in gasoline-soaked drawers for him. Gus Malzahn is a good coach and not a bad person but I don’t think you could say the same thing about him in relation to his players. I expect this to be a close, exciting football game. Auburn will probably eek out a win at home. They are doing the right thing by allowing mostly students to utilize the 17,000 tickets that they are allowing to access the game. Football programs were originally started by students for students so the students should be the No. 1 priority.
