SEC Football Power Poll

This week’s biggest surprise game was Vanderbilt’s shocking upset of Missouri. Every other game went as expected. South Carolina might have pulled off a second straight huge upset but horrendous officiating allowed Florida to escape with a win. Here is this week’s SEC Power Poll.

Alabama continues to roll. The Tide handled Tennessee 35-13. However, the game was closer than many expected. A win is a win though.

7-0, 3-0 SEC

LSU blasts a struggling Mississippi State team. Both Alabama and LSU have suspect defenses.

7-1, 4-1 SEC

Florida gets a win over South Carolina in Columbia. SEC officials suddenly went blind on a couple TD scores for the Gators. Blatant holding not called. Don’t blame it on Florida though, they didn’t officiate the game.

Auburn dismantles Arkansas 51-10 in Fayetteville. QB Bo Nix accounts for four Auburn touchdowns.

Georgia wins a tough, wet game over Kentucky 21-0. Bulldogs seem sluggish after last week’s loss to South Carolina.

5-2, 2-1 SEC

Missouri stunned by Vandy in Nashville. Commodore defense holds the usually high scoring Tigers to under 300 yards total offense.

A Buddy Johnson 62-yard fumble return propels A&M to a win in Oxford over Ole Miss.

Missed calls by SEC refs enable Florida to score 21 points in the 4th quarter to rally past South Carolina.

3-5, 2-3 SEC

Rebs now head to a bye week after the very disappointing meltdown against Texas A&M. Ole Miss will play Auburn on Nov. 2.

It doesn’t get any easier for MSU. After the beatdown at home by LSU, the Bulldogs head to A&M next. Joe Moorhead’s seat is likely getting hotter and hotter.

Kentucky shut out in Athens by Georgia, 21-0. Tough luck Wildcats are relegated to playing a WR at quarterback in a disastrous season.

Things are back to normal for Tennessee after last week’s win over Mississippi Stqte. UT lost by 22 to Bama but the Vols had a decent showing.

Vanderbilt pulls off what could be the biggest upset of the season, knocking off Mizzou in Nashville. The Commodores get a bye week to prepare for South Carolina.

Things get even rougher for the Hogs after the lopsided home loss to Auburn. The Hogs visit Bama this weekend.
