Challenges for Alabama
Alabama should be a heavy favorite again this weekend. Southern Miss has a pretty good quarterback in Jack Abraham who has completed 71% of his passes for 990 yards, 5 TDs and 3 interceptions. USM splits carries at running back between four different players. Jaylond Adams is the team’s leading receiver with 18 catches for 257 yards. Nickel back DQ Thomas is the team’s defensive stat leader with 24 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 other tackles for losses. He also has an interception. This is a game the Tide should win handily. Look for Saban to focus on improving Tide defensive play after giving up 23 points to South Carolina last week.
