Challenges for South Carolina
The challenges for South Carolina are many. Cruelly, at the top of the list is the need for redshirt freshman quarterback Ryan Hilinski to perform well in the absence of Jake Bentely. Hilinski, along with the rest of the Gamecocks, will have to play the game of their lives versus a likely college football playoff team. If there could be any benefit in losing Bentley, it could be that a new quarterback for USC might be harder for Bama to prepare for USC since Hilinski hasn’t played much. This should be a fun game to watch. A young but talented kid going against one of the top teams in the nation in front of the home fans.
