Challenges for Florida
Florida’s first SEC game of the season will happen in Lexington, KY. It’s a battle of two teams trying to establish themselves as contenders in the East for 2019. The loser may later be relegated to fighting for non-playoff caliber bowl or just any bowl. At the top of the Gator’s challenges is the need to have Gator quarterback Feleipe Franks play heady ball and keep his composure after good plays or bad plays. No one wishes for an opponent to suffer injuries but the fact is Kentucky will be without their starting QB Terry Wilson who is out for the season. Instead, redshirt freshman Sawyer Smith will start for the ‘Cats. This is a game Florida can win but it won’t be easy. UK is still very physical on defense despite the loss of several key players from a year ago.
