Challenges for South Carolina
Junior Virginia QB Bryce Perkins is connecting on 63.8 percent of his passes (202-of-318), which is the best UVA passing rate since Matt Schaub in 2003 (69.7). Perkins was the unanimous winner of the 2018 Dudley Award, which is given to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s top Division I collegiate player UVA DB Bryce Hall has defended 22 passes with two interceptions. He is No. 2 in the nation in passes defended. Hall is the highest rated cornerback in the ACC by Pro Football Focus (PFF) and is tied for No. 1 in the nation with South Florida’s Mike Hampton with the highest percentage forcing incompletions (31.3).
