SEC Football Predictions: Week 10

SEC Football Predictions

Last week we went 3-2 on our predictions and were exactly correct on zero games (again). The two misses were when Texas A&M dropped a contest to this bipolar Mississippi State squad and when Kentucky performed a miracle to beat Missouri. The closest game to a correct score prediction was Florida beating Georgia which was missed by just five points.

Here are some score predictions for Week 10 of the SEC season:

Saturday, November 3

(25) Texas A&M @ Auburn – The Aggies secondary problems bit them against last week as they lost to Nick Fitzgerald and Mississippi State. Auburn passer Jarrett Stidham hasn’t had any wow games yet in 2018, but this has the potential to be one of them. Auburn 31, Texas A&M 21. MORE: First Look, Auburn 3 Keys

South Carolina @ Ole Miss – South Carolina is about to walk into the Ole Miss offensive buzz saw. The Gamecocks are great in games they can grind out, but the Rebels don’t play the game that way. Jordan Ta’amu is going to air it out for over 300 yards (it’s just what he does) and the Gamecocks takeaway issues (they have just seven on the year) are going to bite them here. Ole Miss 42, South Carolina 28. MORE: First Look, USC 3 Keys

(6) Georgia @ (11) Kentucky – The battle for the SEC East will likely be a grind of a game with the Kentucky defense doing everything possible to keep the scores close and allow for a late piece of magic (again). This time though the Wildcats miracle comeback will come up short. Georgia 27, Kentucky 13. MORE: First Look, Why Kentucky will Beat Georgia,  Why Georgia will Beat Kentucky, Georgia 3 Keys, Kentucky 3 Keys

Missouri @ (13) Florida – Missouri has lost four of five games and now faces another stout defense after a soul crushing late loss against Kentucky. Travelling to the swamp is hard, but Drew Lock will have a nice bounce back game and out duel Feleipe Franks here. Missouri 35, Florida 20. MORE:  First Look, Florida 3 Keys

Charlotte @ Tennessee – Charlotte will control the Clock – the 49ers are third in the country in time of possession – but that shouldn’t matter against an SEC school Charlotte doesn’t have the offensive firepower to stay in this one and cause an upset. Tennessee 35, Charlotte 20. MORE: First Look, Tennessee 3 Keys

LA Tech @ (21) Mississippi State – This one could be tricky for a Mississippi State team that has different levels of skill on a week to week basis. LA Tech has given up over 200 yards on the ground four times in 2018, so that should be the game plan here, as Nick Fitzgerald puts together back-to-back outings that somewhat resemble the player of old. Mississippi State 31, LA Tech 21. MORE: First Look, Miss. State 3 Keys

(1) Alabama @ (4) LSU – Opening as a two touchdown favorite against the No. 4 country in a conference game on the road shows just how dominant Alabama has been this year. Tua Tagovailoa will make his first missteps as the Alabama quarterback, but Joe Burrow is simply not a good enough passer to lead LSU to a win here. Alabama 35, LSU 17.
