Challenges for Missouri
It’s going to be tough for Missouri to pick themselves off the ground after that loss to Kentucky last week. This is where good coaches make their money. The way Mizzou fell was heart wrenching. A pass interference call that should really have been an offsetting situation instead of giving Florida a first and goal at the Mizzou 1-yard line with no time remaining. These things happen all the time in football but when it happens on the last play of the game and snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, it hurts.
Challenges for Florida
Florida also suffered an disappointing loss last week. The Gators actually played fairly well in this game and the score was much closer than the final score indicates. The Gators should be a solid favorite at home against Missouri. However, in Drew Lock Mizzou will have the better QB. He’s put up phenomenal numbers with the Tigers in four years, completing 777 of 1,395 passes for 10,839 yards, 87 touchdowns and 37 interceptions. Stop Lock and you stop Missouri.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 4 pm ET (3 pm CT) and can be seen on the SEC Network.
