SEC Football Predictions: Week 6

SEC Football Predictions

Last week we went 6-2 on our predictions and were exactly correct on zero games. The two misses were by Mississippi State and Mississippi to Florida and LSU respectively, where neither the Bulldogs nor the Rebels could get anything working on offense. The closest game to a correct score prediction was Tennessee at Georgia, a game that was still missed by 13 points.

Here are some score predictions for Week 6 of the SEC season:

Saturday, October 6

(1) Alabama @ Arkansas – Nick Saban called this a trap game. Nick Saban is lying. The Alabama offense is going to roll against an Arkansas defense that is still not at the level to compete in the SEC West. Alabama 52, Arkansas 10. MORE: Bama 3 Keys, Arky 3 Keys, Arkansas vs. Alabama First Look

Missouri @ South Carolina – Drew Lock vs. the Gamecocks pass defense will be fun to watch. Both these teams failed against Georgia and have been pretty good the rest of the way. South Carolina hasn’t allowed more than one passing touchdown in any game this year. That changes on Saturday. Missouri 28, South Carolina 20. MORE: USC 3 Keys

(5) LSU @ (22) Florida – Florida has enough to keep up with LSU on defense as the Gators are allowing just 5.6 yards per throw. The difference is that it looks like Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow has turned a corner and if he is sharp the Gators don’t have the offense to punch back. LSU 27, Florida 10. MORE: Florida 3 Keys, LSU 3 Keys,  LSU vs. Florida First Look

UL Monroe @ Ole Miss – The Warhawks pass defense has not been good. Only Georgia State – an option team – has failed to hit the 249 yards passing against ULM. Jordan Ta’amu might go for 450. Ole Miss 55, ULM 23.

(13) Kentucky @ Texas A&M – This could easily go either way. It is a battle of two defenses that are among the best in the country, with Benny Snell vs. the Aggies nasty run defense being a particular highlight. Turnovers will decide this. Kentucky 27, Texas A&M 24. MORE: Kentucky 3 Keys, UK vs. TAMU First Look

Vanderbilt @ (2) Georgia – Vanderbilt has had offensive success against the lower ranked teams on the schedule, but its output slowed to the teens against Notre Dame and South Carolina. As long as Georgia isn’t looking ahead to the LSU clash next week they will roll here. Georgia 38, Vanderbilt 21. MORE: Vandy 3 Keys, UGA 3 Keys, UGA vs. Vandy First Look

(8) Auburn @ Mississippi State – Mississippi State has the ability to win this game, especially with it being in Starkville. Nick Fitzgerald has been underperforming in 2018 and it seems like he will revert back to form at some point. That won’t happen yet though as he faces an Auburn defense that is the best unit the Bulldogs have played in 2018. Auburn 27, Mississippi State 20. MORE: Auburn 3 Keys, MSU 3 Keys, Auburn vs. MSU First Look
