Challenges for Texas A&M
The Bulldogs have the second most productive passing game in the SEC averaging 351 yards per game. Veteran Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers averages 35 completions for 346.5 yards per game. He has 1,386 yards passing for 16 touchdown passes this season. State’s defense is formidable as well allowing just under 320 yards per game on average. The Bulldogs have a balanced defense and are solid at stopping both the run and pass but not among the best at either. A&M has to find a way to slow down the State passing attack. Limiting yards gained after catches is one way to deal with the Bulldogs. Let Mississippi complete 50 passes for 3 or 4 yards on average.
