Challenges for Georgia

Gone are the good old days of Paul Johnson who took the Rambling Wreck to nine bowl games in 11 years. Georgia Tech is now a below-average team struggling to get back to respectability. Tech’s quarterback in the recent 55-0 loss to Notre Dame was Jordan Yates who completed 14 of 28 passes for 96 yards and an interception. This week’s depth chart lists true freshman Jeff Sims as the starter. If that is true this could be a case of child abuse. It would be easy to overlook Georgia Tech. That would not be smart though. Tech has beaten a ranked North Carolina team and nearly upset Clemson. The Dawgs need to respect Georgia Tech and take care of business. Once Georgia is four scores up they need to protect their starters and get out of Dodge healthy.

Saturday‘s game kicks off at 11:00 AM CT (12:00 PM ET). You can watch this SEC football game on the ABC Network.
