Challenges for Alabama
This is one of those games where you wonder how the hell this got scheduled. Well, here’s why. Most teams are reluctant to schedule Alabama because it’s almost like a certain loss. Programs like New Mexico State are badly in need of revenue. They probably get a million bucks to play Alabama. It’s a slaughter but to Nick Saban’s credit, he tries not to let things get ridiculous, like what Georgia did to Vandy earlier this season. The Aggies quarterback is sophomore Jonah Johnson. So far this season Johnson has completed 196 of 342 passes for 1,975 yards, 8 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Last week against Utah State, Johnson completed 30 of 44 passes for 298 yards.
