Challenges for Missouri

Missouri gets to visit Georgia in Athens and the whole world will be watching on ESPN. Missouri’s challenge is to penetrate the nation’s best defense. The Dawgs are second nationally in both passing and rushing defense and first in scoring defense. Georgia is particulary stingy in the first, second and third quarters. They have yet to allow double digits for the season in any of those quarters. They have allowed 30 points total in the fourth quarter during mop-up time when they have the game in full control. A big reason for Georgia’s defensive success is the caliber of their personnel. Like 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior defensive end Adam Anderson who has 32 tackles and five sacks on the season. He’s projected by some NFL draft analysts to go in the second round of the upcoming NFL draft.

Missouri probably won’t win this game but if they can stay in the game and maybe reach the 20-point level their score they’ll be considered to have accomplished an impressive feat. Buckle your seatbelts Tigers!

Saturday‘s game kicks off at 11:00 AM CT (12:00 PM ET). You can watch this SEC football game on the ESPN Network.
