Challenges for Vanderbilt
This Vandy team seems to be improving. In Mississippi State, the Commodores have the challenge of stopping the most prolific passing attack in the SEC and fourth-best nationally, yardage wise. The Bulldogs are racking up 360 yards passing a game. Quarterback Will Rogers runs the State offense. So far this season he has completed 250 of 339 passes for 2,162 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Bulldogs will hit you with several short passes and then launch a deep bomb. Last season against the Commodores Rogers completed 35 of 46 for 226 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. The Commodore defense has to put some pressure on Rogers or it will be a long day.
Saturday‘s game kicks off at 3:00 PM CT (4:00 PM ET). You can watch this SEC football game on the SEC Network.
